2CheckOut Recurring Product Setup

This instruction will explain how to use Membership Client with 2CheckOut.com to provide Recurring billing.  You should have:

  1. Already setup your script in your cgi-bin,
  2. Added at least one user (yourself) and one product you want periodically billed.

  3. That you have completed the Setup 2CheckOut section (Step 5 - 7).
IMPORTANT: When creating the product, set the "Membership Period" to a very high number (10000000), so that the member account never actually expires. You then just delete them if they cancel billing.

In Membership Client Main Admin Page (You should be connected to the Internet):

Step 1)  Select "Modify Settings"

Step 2)  On Script Setup Page (see below), go to "Which Company"
               dialog box.

Step 3)  Select "2CheckOut -Recurring Billing" and press "Setup Script."

Create a recurring product in 2Checkout.com:

Step 4)  Login into 2CheckOut.com

Step 5)  Goto the Create New Product "New Product" page and this is what should be staring you in the face:


Step 6) Fill out the details as you need, make sure that you set the "Approved URL" to http://www.YOURSITE.COM/cgi-bin/order/order.pl (change the YOURSITE.COM to your own site)

Step 7) Press the "Create Recurring Product", then you will get a confirmation, click the "Back to Products" link. Make note of the Product ID that 2C generated.


On this screen, is the "Product ID" number, write it down as this is the value Membership Client needs.


Return to Membership Client Admin.pl area and,

Step 8)  In Main Menu, select the option "Generate HTML to sell
               products"

Step 9)  Enter the "Product Id" value from 2CheckOut in the field
               provided.  See below:

Step 10) Click on "Generate HTML" and this next screen appears:

Step 11)  Copy and paste the generated HTML into your web pages and
                 your "buy" button it will look like this on your web site:
